Mumbai, India –February 2025  – The inspiring “Threads of Transformation Summit,” a key event within the Crafting Creative Change (C4) Conclave, took place on February 5th, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at HSNC University, Mumbai. The summit served as a vibrant celebration of craft, sustainability, and social impact, bringing together thought leaders, artisans, and change-makers to explore the transformative power of creativity.

Crafting Creative Change (C4), an initiative by Tisser Artisans Trust, was a dynamic program that ran from January to March 2025 across Mumbai and its surrounding regions. C4 focused on four crucial pillars: Waste-to-Wealth, Women Empowerment, Urban Craft Integration, and Digital and Creative Livelihoods. Through a series of engaging events, including panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, C4 aimed to empower communities, foster sustainable practices, and elevate the role of crafts in building a more equitable and sustainable future.

The “Threads of Transformation” panel discussion delved into the profound potential of craft, sustainability, and social enterprises to drive positive economic and social change. Esteemed speakers shared their insights and experiences, inspiring attendees to embrace innovative solutions and collaborative approaches.

Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman & MD, Hiranandani Group, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The summit was organized by Dr. Hemlata Bagla, Vice Chancellor, HSNC University, and Dr. Megha Phansalkar, Founder & Chairperson, Tisser Artisans Trust.

The summit showcased the incredible artistry of artisans from across India through stunning hand-crafted art installations. A captivating fashion show, featuring designs created from recycled, upcycled, and sustainable materials, highlighted the potential of eco-conscious fashion.

The event also marked the momentous launch of HARIT & HUNAR, a landmark joint eco-friendly initiative by Tisser and HSNC University. Furthermore, Tisser unveiled exclusive DIY Craft Kits – Reviving Art, Nurturing Generations – a step towards sustainability and learning, empowering artisans, promoting quality education, and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
