Kalamkari is a traditional textile art form from the state of Telangana, India. The word ‘Kalamkari’ is derived from two words; ‘kalam’ meaning pen and ‘kari’ meaning work. Kalamkari involves hand-painting and hand-block printing on cotton, silk, and other fabrics using natural dyes.
