Consul general’s residence opens door to collaboration in Western India

Consul General Mike Hankey’s residence receives guests with a visible celebration of art and culture in west India. To capture the vibrant culture from the five states in which the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai serves—Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh—the consulate worked with Tisser, a social enterprise that supports rural artisans across India, to integrate native art streams into the welcoming space with a new mural.
