Tisser India uses IT as a game changer. We won in the category of ‘Entrepreneurship & Outreach category for #eNGOChallenge awards at Delhi.
eNGo challenge 2019 aims to recognize and organizations that have exceptional work that has brought change in communities using the new age tools. With our women in rural clusters who we are working for and the products for the wider audience that our artisans are creating, the challenge of connecting and scaling is only met through a promising IT. ‘Action for India Best Indian Social Enterprise’ Award
In Indian School of Business, Hyderabad was conducted the ‘AFI’ Awards. The jury of the awards comprise of sector champions, Industry Leaders, change makers, academicians, thought leaders and social impact investors who evaluated over 300 applications to arrive at a cohort of Social Entrepreneur.
Tisser India is so grateful to receive this award which recognises the commitment and impact at the bottom of pyramid achieved by the means of innovative products, services, market approach and the skill to scale the business.

On 15th October International Rural Women Day 2019.
In Mumbai, on 15 October, which marks as the International Rural Women Day, we received the Rani Laxmi Bai Bhushan Puraskar. We would like to credit and dedicate this award to our women artisans who worked so incredibly hard every day and are levelling up in creating opportunities for themselves.
The award boosts the morale of every women in Tisser India’s team who are brave, fighters and born entrepreneurs.

Priyadarshani Award for Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs
Federation of Indian Women entrepreneurs (FIWE) is dedicated to foster the economic empowerment of women, who have achieved a milestone in their respective field at work.
Tisser India was delighted to be one amongst the hundred women led teams to have received this prestigious award, an important feat for outstanding achievers in their countries.
The award was given as an incentive towards the promotion and success of small-scale entrepreneurs in India as well as from SAARC countries. It also recognized the development work initiated by different non-governmental organizations.
Impact award at NAFW, Seattle 2019
Tisser India won the Impact award at NAFW, 2019 While it was in incredible feat achieved by the team it recognises and honours our excellence in fashion for social and environmental impact.
The stunning pencil shaped trophy which was carved out of Old Burma teak wood, repurposed from a century from and architectural structure found its way back to India! We were graced further by their kinds words of encouragement.

Shakti Achievement Award at 11th National Women Excellence Award 2018 on the 25th November

In Indian Incubation Centre of New Delhi, we were awarded Shakti achievement Award at the 11th National Women Excellence Award.
It’s an annual award given by the Ministry of Women and Child development of Government of India to Individual women or institution who work towards the cause of women empowerment.
We are honoured to have received this award and to have been in the presence of powerful people that work towards bringing the best foot forward and grow from strength to strength.

Ipreneur is the flagship event of E-cell under the auspices of the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, School of Management and Labour Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
The purpose of the event was to bring together participants, student community, academicians and other significant groups in order to utilize the platform to create and share ideas, networks and innovations. Tisser Rural Handicrafts was selected amongst 60 top innovations of the country.
This award gave us great coverage and also brought us in awareness of the student body and relevant networks in the innovation sector, who will become the policymakers and changemakers of tomorrow and push the envelope to a more innovative tomorrow.

Action for India 2017 – top 100 social innovators

Action for India recognised Tisser India in the esteemed list of top 100 social innovators in the country.
The proposition which was most appreciated was the digitalisation of the shopping experience through our online portal and promoting our products through social media seamlessly. We are using the resource of tech to bridging the gap between the providers (rural artisans) and consumers in the cities of India. The tech-first approach of Tisser India has enabled the efficient function and this esteemed listing.

Manthan Award – Digital Inclusion for Development

When Tisser India cam with an app, which enables rural artisans to showcase their craft to the urban buyer at the click of a button, we did not forsee the amazing response and encouragement it would reap.
Tisser Mobile App was finalised by the Manthan awards 2016.
Manthan Award is a first of its kind initiative to discover, recognise and honour the BEST use of ICT and digital tools for developmental purposes. The Award is less about technology and digital media but more about the right use of digital and technological tools to empower people. We are honoured to be found ground breaking and worthy of a recognition as
affirming to our hardwork.

The Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Awards is an award by the All India National Unity Conference to individuals for their outstanding services, achievement and contributions to promote national Unity, Integration, brotherhood and oneness.
We were honoured to be awarded the esteemed Indira Gandhi Memorial Award. This is one of the most prominent awards in the country which lauds compassionate leadership that brings impact and inclusive growth of the citizen of the country.
This award recognises those individuals who have excelled and made a positive and transformative difference in their respective fields of interest and work. Among the others who received the award were the International athlete Ms. Kavita Raut, first Woman editor of the Marathi daily Punyanagri Ms. Rahi Bhide, Ms. Juhi Chawla, Mr. Nawazuddin Siddique, Industrialist Megha Phansalkar and author Kavita Mahajan.
